Can someone provide some guidance on setting UP an Linksys SPA-3102.
Network consist of :
1) A Seimens Speed Stream 4100 DSL modem, with ip 192.168.0.1 (can find no way to change it).
2) SMC2804WBRP-G router with address set to 192.168.2.1 (changeable). This provides firewall (mac filter), NAT, and acts as my DHCP server.
3) Linksys SPA-3102 ATA to which I will attach a PSTN phone. The factory setting for the LAN is 192.168.0.1 (conflicts with my dsl modem). I tried changing the LAN IP to an address in my subnet (192.168.2.2) by direct connecting a computer and setting it via web interface. But as soon as it is connected back to the router, it changes the LAN IP address to 192.168.3.2 which makes it impossible to access the web interface anymore.
So even before I and configure the voice parameters I need to figure out how to configure the LAN and WAN, any ideas of what I am doing wrong?
Is the physical connections correct? Do I have to change the subnet that my router is using to something compatible with the ATA?
thx,
dj
