View Full Version : PAP2 Resetting/not connecting issue

I have a linksys PAP2 NA device that recently stopped working. It simply goes through the initial start up of blinking blue power light then to the ethernet light which blinks a number of times. Then there is a pause where the ethernet light is solid, the power light turns light red and then all of the lights brighten and it starts all over again.
I don't even have the ability to get the IP through " **** " since it simply resets before it gives me the response. I managed to get the IP and view the adapter through my browser but I'm stumped as to how to get it to work. I've reset it by disconnecting the power.
It connects to the internet through a switch connected to a router and from there into a cable modem. Up until last week it was working.
Any ideas?

Is this adapter provided to you from ViaTalk?
If so, just submit a ticket, and they will ship you a new one.

If you bypass the switch and the router. i.e. plug it directly in to the modem, does it work? If so the problem is not the adapter. If not then it most likely the adapter.
