Whenever I call out to a phone number that requires me to enter an extention, I am having problems getting through to the right number as if the automated system is not recognizing the keys I am pressing. Calling my wife at work from my ViaTalk number is nearly impossible, I just have to hope that a phone rings somewhere near her desk. This doesn't happen with my cell phone and I've plugged in several different phones and tried a soft phone (xten) with the same result. This is very frustrating because it also takes several tries to get my voicemail...is there some setting that needs to be changed? Does anyone else know of this issue? Thanks

Are you a BYOD user or are you using a provisioned Linksys ATA? You need to make sure your ATA is set to use Inband for DTMF. There are also specific settings that you need to configure in your X-lite 3.0 softphone to work properly has well (although even with the changes to the softphone, you need to make sure you press each key long enough to register properly).

It's the VT provisioned PAP2, and it doesn't matter how long I hold the buttons, they still register incorrectly.

it's the DTMF. It needs to be set to inband like sbradshaw said. Check you pap2 settings if they are wrong fix them, or open a ticket and ask them to set the DTMF to inband.
