:) First, I want to say that ViaTalk has amazing speed at which they get numbers ported. :)
However, if it doesn't interfere with speed of processing, it would be nice to know that VT received the faxed request for porting. Seems like an email saying "we got your request" would be simple and reassuring. If this were mentioned on the form or website that a confirmation email would be issued within x hours or business days, it might reduce a few support calls.
A friend locally (and some on forums) have sent in the request, didn't hear anything for a while, then asked VT. VT said it wasn't received. Then faxed again and 5 days later, number ported.
I had to make several fax attempts to get mine to VT because of faxing on my VT line and I called a few hours later to see if VT had it. After 6 calendar days, me calling is the only way I know VT has the form.
