I would like to see some additional changes in the Call Broadcasting feature. In its current state, I don't use it (but would like to given some changes are made).
1. Allow multiple broadcast lists to be created that you could choose from when sending a broadcast message. A 3-digit ID could be assigned to each broadcast list that could be used to select from.
2. Allow creation and saving of multiple broadcast messages that could be selected from when sending a broadcast message. These could be uploaded through the CP in MP3 or WAV format or recorded using the phone.
3. Allow import of text file to populate the creation/modification of a broadcast list. Also allow names to be imported along with phone numbers.
4. Allow unlimited number of phone entries per broadcast list.
5. Allow unlimited number of broadcasts per month. If each call deducts from the minutes of a VT account, the number of broadcasts per month should not be of concern to VT.
Suggested phone menu for Call Broadcast:
Press * 400 to enter feature.
1. Record new message just for this broadcast
a. Record Message
b. Select Broadcast List (3-digit # assigned to list)
c. Confirm send
2. Select from Existing Broadcast Messages
a. Select Broadcast Message (3-digit assigned #).
b. Select Broadcast List (3-digit #)
c. Confirm send
3. Manage Broadcast Messages
a. Create and Save New Broadcast Message
b. Change Broadcast Message ID #
c. Delete Broadcast Message
Or something like this. I'm sure there are other ideas of how this might look or function. :)
