problem with delays

Is anyone else noticing recurring gaps in conversation? I regularly experience long periods of silence, maybe 10 seconds or more, when neither the party I'm calling or me can hear one another.

My son has this service as well and he tells me that he has not noticed this.

This is making me use a different voice provider on really important calls. I wonder if there is anything to be done?

You don't have the issue when using a different VOIP provider? In the same location? That is very odd. This sounds like an ISP issue. Try putting your adapter in the DMZ, could be a firewall issue too.
