Turn off Voicemail?

How do you turn off voicemail? I went into the online control panel, and set the rings to "infinite", which is supposed to disable voicemail, and yet all day long I'm getting voicemail alerts on my cel phone.

So what's the REAL way to turn off the voicemail?

This page lets you set the number of seconds your phone will ring before it goes to voicemail. If you select ‘infinite’, incoming calls will not go to voicemail at all. To update this setting, choose the amount of time from the drop down below, and select the ‘update’ button.
Maybe you should submit a ticket, because setting it to infinite should disable voicemail.
