VT has been great.
I can get outgoing faxes to work with Viatalk at or below 9600 baud. Sometimes they slow down to 4800 baud. Would be neat to have better faxing ability. I have seen that there are other codecs that are supposed to be better, but do not seem to be available on the PAP2T. I did manage to get a 14400 baud fax to go through after 4 retries.

I don't know if a byod adapter at my end could add better faxing or if VT servers are the bottleneck.
Mainly send one or two faxes per week so speed isn't that big of a deal.

Of course, email faxing would be great, especially if it could be both directions. I currently use a free fax service for incoming faxes, but for the limited amount of outgoing I do, those other services are too $$.

For me, sending is easier than receiving. I can set the send speed thru special dialing codes. But I cannot change the default receive speed. So for me, sending is easier than receive. I had terrible trouble keeping connections for a while because of a cheap router. Since getting a router with QoS, calls are great no matter what the computers are doing.

You might want to try configuring the "FAX Disable ECAN" setting in the ATA to "yes". You can also play with some of the other settings like "FAX Passthru Method" (all on the Line 1 or 2 tab of the ATA).

I've never been able to send a fax either...I can receive without issue.
