View Full Version : Issues with number port from Vonage.

I switched my number from Vonage to Viatalk a while ago and recently found out that Vonage customers are unable to call my number.
I'm not sure which company I should call for resolution, I don't expect much help from Vonage since I'm no longer their customer but it does not quite seem like Viatalk can fix anything at their end.
I would like to hear from others who have had similar issues on how to go about getting the issue resolved.

You need to call vonage and have them remove your ported number from their routing tables. Because its still there, theyre trying to route the calls internally instead.

I had the same problem porting out of Vonage. Their tech support isn't great with more advanced issues, but you should get on this before your # is assigned to someone else. (vonage did that to me)

call them and ask them to submit a ticket called "Remove DID from Database". Explain that you ported it out, and only vonage subscribers can't call it so they need to remove it from their database. They will have to submit the ticket for a higher up to fix but if they do it right you should get an email within 24hrs saying that it went through.
