Outranking client sites

This hasn't been a big deal yet but it is getting more common so I thought I'd see if you
all have any ideas on what to do about your site outranking your client's sites.

For example, 14thC has the press section and now blog both of which are drawing traffic for
my clients KWs, especially names. I want to be able to mention them and give them some
link-juice as they get started but I don't necesarily want 14thC to be the first impression
for their viewers (or do I? ).

Maybe I'm making too big a deal about this as my site links to theirs and it will give a
"favorable" impression of them so maybe a pit stop along the way isn't so bad? And it isn't
happening for SEO clients that want to stay confidential, just web design ones. Maybe if
they kicked down a few bucks they'd be happy to rank for their own names at least!?

Anyway, is there a method of just letting the SEs see part of a page... that isn't too
complicated. I could always cloak (I don't think I'd get nailed for hiding content that
is relevant to my viewers but not the SEs).

I dunno... it is a conundrum.
