SMS Gateway for PHP

Hi

Can anyone recommend a free SMS Gateway module / script for PHP...

I want to be able to send scheduled text-messages (as a subscription) to my customers cell phones several times during the day.

I've never had any experience with this so I appologize in advance if SMS is the incorrect term.
