Hello,

Is the "Soft Phone Access" free, or something you pay to add on? It's in the "included with the plan" column in the feature list, and the copy on the page states it is "included free of charge with all ViaTalk service plans", but it then seems odd that it goes on to say:

"Call 1- 866-626-7150 to order Soft Phone access."

Most people (myself included) associate "ordering" something with paying for it.

If it really is free/included, the instructions should probably say something like this instead:

"Call 1- 866-626-7150 to set up your free Soft Phone access."

Just my $.02 :)

There are free softphones available for download, that you can configure for any VoIP service. Since ViaTalk lets you configure any device to use with their service, you can configure a softphone for your account.
But remember, only one device can register at a time (your telephone adapter will be kicked offline when you register your softphone).

I do see your point with the slight change. Softphone access does not come at any charge, it just what line you access it with. We ask for people to call in so that we may give them the configuration to use with a softphone as needed. We do not provide a softphone program ourselves, but do cite a free one at www.xten.com (http://www.xten.com)
