Be very careful with this program. It's a scam. My mother in law signed up by clicking the link that I sent to her. Somehow my referral code didn't end up on her order. Viatalk billing tells me that there is no way to add the code now "but thanks for the referral". I have referred others and have no idea how many times this has happened that I don't know about.

We can assure you that this program is not a scam. There are many customers in fact that enjoy the benefits of receiving a discount by referring others through the same system. In regards to being careful however, you are definitely correct. Like any special program, you must follow set guidelines and have the correct information at hand. Whether this be a coupon you must bring to a store, or a discount code given through an online order form. If you do not bring the coupon or happen to mistype the code, in either case, you will not receive the promotional offer. While using the link given with our program it brings you through a specific path which will auto-input the refer ID on the order form. If you move from this path or even backtrack on your browser this "path" will break and also will no longer input the refer ID on the order form for your referral. For customers reading this, I do personally recommend just handing out your unique referral ID for the person you're referring to input on the last page of the order form manually. This will ensure it's properly placed and correctly processed.

If anyone has any other questions about this program please feel free to let us know. Happy referring!

What I would recommend is that there should be some safeguards built into the site so that it either warns that the referral ID will no longer be used because of navigation away from the page...or that the inputed referral ID is not valid (in case it is mistyped), giving the person an opportunity to re-enter the correct code. Nothing will infuriate referrers more than to have a referral code not take properly. It only benefits VT when that happens.

if you keep referring people, and get the free service, and lets say that one of them eventually drop the service, it will no longer remain free correct? in essence meaning its free as long as your referrals stay connected.

That is correct. All packages listed under you as a referral must remain active. If any of the packages are cancelled, your referral discount is also cancelled.
