does anyone have an idea how to change the properties of a browser title bar of a popup window?
i've seen this done on other sites and am thinking it's css-related, but i haven't had any luck with my web searches and code hunting.
reference sites would be greatly appreciated, with a direct link to my question. not just "check out w3c.org" :) i've already looked with no success.
thanks!

well, not really.
what i'm looking to do is change the color of the title bar of a popup (from the standard msie blue gradient to something else) and also to change the look of the "X". i've seen this done before and have never been able to figure out exactly how it was done.
i'm guessing it would be css, as it doesn't seem like a javascript solution...but i may be wrong.

I suspect I understand what you mean, but that sounds to me like it depends on how users configure their operating system. The title bar "inherits" the Windows config colours the user chooses, no? So neither CSS nor JavaScript could effect a change in that respect.
Are you talking about the chromoless popup (http://microbians.com)?

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle! That's a neat trick! I have to look into it now...
I will say, though, that this trick does make navigability more confusing, not to mention that it forced me to turn off IE after I visited the site suggested... But if you get it working well, Prymal, you should post here again to urge us to take a look.
Cheers!
