I agree that there should be a link from viatalk.com to these boards.. How else are customers to find these boards?

We added ViaTalk forums here at a customer's request so there is a place to discuss service. Once there is enough forum usage, we will consider making an official ViaTalk forum which is linked on the site.

How are customers to know these forums even exists unless they are also webhosting customers?
Customers are more likely to find a 3rd party forum like this one. http://www.viatalkforum.com/

I do see your point KLH, it is currently a little hard to find these forums unless you directly come here, which was primarily made for our webhosting services. However, the forums for ViaTalk as Timothy said were a request from our users here, so we decided to create them and watch the amount of interest before formally considering putting them on our ViaTalk site. This way, once we decided to actually direct ViaTalk site users to here, they would have a much better resource of information than a newly formed forum as it pretty much stands currently.

For many, many months there was a link to these forums from the Viatalk website. After clikcing on the "Supprt" link from the main page, it was on the top of the list of support options. About a month or two ago, the link disappeared. There were several posts asking why it was removed, but nobody from Viatalk ever responded as to why it was removed. It appears to me that Viatalk employees monitor and participate on the vial talk forum at dslreports.com much more that this forum. Brendan makes regalur posts out there.
