I upgraded to WMP10 a little while back and it has changed the hue and contrast on all of my video players. (WinAmp, RealPlayer, etc.) Now this would not be a problem except it looks HORRIBLE! I can adjust it in WMP and it will look OK, but it will always revert back to the nastiness whenever a new clip stars to play and this still doesn't help with the other players.

I tried to uninstall it and revert back to Version 9, but that didn't help either. I can't find anything on Microsofts site that helps. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or where to look. It is not crucial, since it doesn't seem to affect anything but the video players. Everything else looks fine.

Ideas would be great.

Thanks,

Maybe upgrade video drivers or directx?

I have already tried both to no avail. I did turn down my hardware acceleration pretty far and that helped. I'm not sure why this has changed however. I have been running it at full and it has done well.

Anyway, it is working OK for now, but I'm not sure what effect turning this down will have yet.

Your trouble is an overlay mode. Disable it and all would be OK

I'll advise you to use Light Alloy, the best I've ever seen.
