the HostRocket Community is here to be a resource for everyone. In order to maintain the quality of discussions, it's important we we occasionally remind to think about their posts before posting.
The rules clearly state "Threads and discussions must remain constructive and in good nature". I just removed a thread regarding VT_Unlimited that was not productive.
If you choose not to participate in the launch of VT_Unlimited, that's your decision and completely fine. We will not, however, tolerate any forum member discussing VT_Unlimited in a way that viloates community rules or policies.
If anyone has any complaints about VT_Unlimited that they would like to present constructively, send them to promotions@hostrocket.com and you will receive a response.
Please keep this in mind so that we can keep the standards of our online community high.

Hmm. Last time I looked at this thread I didn't really see anything wrong with it.
Was there some type of foul language used or was it just the fact that the guy was saying negative things about HR's new venture?
I think this reply is constructive because it would be handy to know whether we are now all members of a censored community.

The thread was clearly mean to be defamatory and not in good taste. If you look around, you will notice that we do not censor every post regarding our services that isn't positive.

Sounds about right.. Guess my post didn't help either. :)
While I agree that it probably wasn't the most constructive thread, the bit is getting old. A shadow of a ballpark might help each of us to gauge if we have any interest.
edit: You know, with all this (all?) build up, VT better be pretty damn good. Seems like a high bar to set.

It will be. We wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't.

I am the author of the thread that was deleted. Yes it was somewhat inflammatory, yes it crossed the line set by the rules of the forum. You are perfectly within your rights to delete it and to censor it as you wish, according to the rules I agreed to when I signed up.
However, you cannot deny that the content of that post was meaningful.
What you have done with VT_Unlimited is create an environment of dis-interest. By talking it up so much for as long as you have, you have destroyed the benefits you sought so hard to create. My inflammatory comments are echoed in the minds and thoughts of many others that stumbled onto the announcements regarding VT_Unlimited. The posts contained within this community are a testament to that as well.
Censor me if you wish, but how about you instead demonstrate a little forward thought and actually release some information about the product/service.

I'm glad that you understand that the post did viloate forum rules and understand why it was removed. If the post was not in viloation of forum rules and was worded in an appropriate manner, it would have remained.
I can appreciate that you do not agree with the way our new service is being marketed. Thank you for your opinion. However, our marketing efforts will proceed as planned so there is no need for continued debate.
Information will be released as it is available. As I have stated in previous posts, the service will be launching in 2-3 months and we plan to release information will over the course of the next few weeks to VT_Unlimited mailing list subscribers.
If you have any specific concerns, feel free to contact me at timothy@hostrocket.com and I will address them. Have a fantastic evening and thank you for your continued forum participation.

Btw, is VT_Invisible coming closer?
No, but VT_Limited is in it's final testing stages... ;)

Since when was it Limited? I'll still go for the Unlimited version if that's ok. ;)
Okay, but you will have to wait longer... ;)

I'm not, or else I would reply to all the stuff you posted during the month I wasn't here, I just thought you got owned. :P
I'm glad you didn't (or anyone didn't) because that would be WAY to many posts to read and reply to!
