How could I create a clone of the thefacebook.com or a site like Friendster or Classmates?
Anyone know of any pre-made scripts out there I should look into?
Thanks

Not to discourage but are you sure we need another one? Myspace and Friendster do a pretty good job in that market... what would you do differently?

lol. No no no.
I'm wanting to build a site with similar features built into another site. I enjoy having the community environment though - but my site will not be tailored to THAT sort of website you're assuming.
I do know what you mean though - about too many out there. But, I'm wanting to build more of a "sports" community - and I like the simplistic approach the facebook took with their friends lists, groups to join, etc.

vBulletin with PHP Photo Post integration
Im working on the same thing for the gay community since the sites out there that service the gay community are filled with nothing but filth, whores, and drugs. I wanna add another one to create a healthy network for people to come to instead of a site wher eyou login and see naked people all over.

Interesting - I just need somone (and I've had 4 offers now thanks to this board) to be able to build us a skelton version for our site. We're wanting to adapt a "community" atmosphere to our site and we would like someone to be able to take our site and customize a "facebook" like structure into it to allow people to login, keep a friends list, search for friends based on their profiles, create/manage groups, have the message board-type area where users can post feedback, and have this tie into our phpBB board on site.
Thanks again for all the request, please keep the coming, and if you can be contracted for this, please try to prodivde SOME sort of DEMO that we can see your talent at work and not just by verbal feedback. We trust you, but we're spending a large amount of money on the site and do not have time for price wars over this feature (we just decided on late in the development stages).
If you have a code that functions and is easily customizable or if you want to build it into our site yourself, then we'll bring up prices.
You guys rock,
Kemph
