I've been getting this error on my website over the past few days. Anyone notice this on their site over the past week on HR7?
Fatal error: out of dynamic memory in yy_create_buffer() in Unknown on line 0
My site has been fine previous to this problem. It's also intermittent so if I keep hitting refresh I do seem to be able to reach my site eventually. Not ideal of course.
When you reboot the server and fix this, can you tell us why it happens.

Hello,
First off I'd like to express how incredibly sorry we are for the downtime on host7 this morning, and I'd also like to explain why we didn't catch it right away. We had a massive thunder storm here last night and lost power for quite a long time, we were running off of APCs for until they were drained, and then once the laptop batteries were dry we had nothing left. Eventually we got a phone call reporting that the server was down so we called VDI and they took care of it quickly. So no its back up and the existing problem right now is the License file for the cpanel which VDI is working on right now. The problem which is recurring is due to a user using excessive amount of memory through PHP generated code, this makes it almost impossible to track down who it is because PHP is embedded as an Apache module and runs under the alias "nobody". Since we do not know who it is... we have ordered more memory for that machine (33% increase) and are currently waiting for it to arrive at the NOC. In the mean time we've been watching the memory usage as it at most times is only a problem when it peaks, and we kill processes that are using too much. I thank you for your patience and again apologize for this inconvenience. Also I just checked and VDI has fixed the License file just now.

To add to what John has posted...if you are running vBulletin 2.0betaX then edit your config.php file and change use pconnect=1 to pconnect=0....this will help the memory issue until more is installed.

Is it merely a memory issue? This started happen somewhere between 5-7 days ago.
Are they still adding new users to HR7?
It's been happening all day. Still going on.

Hi,
This is an update on the situation. I spent about three or four hours investigating and I did end up finding the culprit user. Their account has been suspended and you have my word that it will not be re-enabled ever. Even though this should completely resolve the problem we're still going to be upgrading the memory once we get it in. And also to answer the other question host7 is a closed server, it hasn't taken on any new accounts in weeks.

Not sure if this has anything to do with this topic, but I've been getting a
"No space left on device"
error message alot lately when trying to upload files with WS_FTP LE. Is this related to anything in this thread? If so, I take it that it will be resolved shortly, correct?
Also, I dont want to know what the site was, but what was the user doing that resulted in the problems? I'd like to know so I dont inadvertently make the same mistake.

I' on host.hrwebservices.net
I experience this i think 2 or 3 times.
One time they were doing a disk-lock. Another, they had to reboot. Just call them, or send it a ticket, or ICQ/AIM them. They'll fix it
