Hey I found this: http://www.scriptomania.net
it has awards and stuff and it is inexpensive (15€ ~ $18 USD) I am using its trial version and it is good :) the features seem good 2 !!
and it is listed on hotscripts: http://www.hotscripts.com/Detailed/23768.html
but I wanted to know what you think about before I buy it  Is these guaranties are suffiscient? what do you think about the software?
Thanks :)

There are a lot of really good free editors around. JEdit (its more of a Java one however it has syntax highlighting for an enourmous amount of languages. Its also cross platform since its written in Java.

Like I said there heaps. JEdit is the one I use I find its good enough for my needs at this point in time. If you want to know a few more theres a thread over at another board I visit http://phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10209798&highlight=editors that has a tonne of editors for PHP.

There should be a thread on this board regarding php editors. I don't recall scriptomania's being mentioned, but if it works for you then go for it.
I currently use UltraEdit and JEdit. Personally I don't care what the website says (awards, etc..), it only matters how it works for you. I believe a number of editors support features like syntax highlighting, function help/completion, code folding, etc..

Thanks iDxMan ;)
I am using it since two days and seems good, there is one feature that I love it is the macros records, it reminds me of photoshop actions, :) it can record even mouse and keyboard actions, Jedit is good too but has no completion feature no spell check too, I don't know if I should go and buy scriptomania after the trial ends for $18 or should go for JEdit being a freeware
Thanks for your help :D

Actually JEdit has both of those only the completion feature is HTML only.

I believe JEdit has a php plugin that does completion. (UE also has a macro language to automate tasks.. )

http://ultraedit.com/
I think it was about $15 per license when we bought a few for work several years ago. (v6.20b)
The website suggests that it's $35 for a new single license.
..and we may upgrade at work soon. JEdit and others are nice, but we seem to be most productive with UE. (just waiting for that blasted code folding to be added :) )

I don't know but I am seeming to settle for scriptomania I spoke to the staff over there on MSN and they were very kind even offered to support me with my own scripting :) may be I'll give them a try I felt that scriptomania was more personified :p

:) You should have seen their site in the 6.20b days.
Another good editor is Boxer (http://boxersoftware.com/).

I've been using the one from Lukasoft, which actually got advertised on the boards here somewhere. I happen to like it, but some people might not.

JEdit works for me. No reason to buy stuff like this. Go to Download.com and look around, there are plenty of free editors.

I use EditPlus myself. Any beefed up version of Notepad will do really.
