Restore problem

I cannot get my restore in XP to go back from January. Is this normal or is it because of the year change?

I want to pick a restore point from late Dec - is this possible when it wont show in the menu even though I made the restore.

Hmmm. This is quite interesting. Is there a huge reason you want to restore? I had a problem restoring back to August last September when my computer was trippin' on something.... anyway, when I fired up System Restore a minute ago, all the points were still there. I really don't know what to say. Have you looked on the Microsoft website?

the year change shouldnt have anything to do with it, so explain to me exactly what the problem is. when you open system restore dialog, does it list a restore point in Dec, or does it not list any? if it lists it, does it let you click on it? if you can click on it, does it give you any kind of error?

saying "it wont let me do this blah blah blah..." doesnt help anybody, so whenever you have a problem, be as specific as possible so we can help.
