i do plenty of CGI work in C/C++, posix shell script, and even a little QB before....would i post questions about those sorts of CGI scripts in here too (or is this just a perl forum?)

The original owner of this site wasn't a programmer, and didn't know the difference between CGI and Perl.

His retardedness will reflect on all of us until the new management fixes the name of this forum. Granted, we'll still have a lot of other retardedness reflecting on us (the loser:winner ratio of this site is higher than almost any I've known) but we ought not proclaim it so loudly.

Well, it could be that the questions could pertain to both the perl that runs on the PC and the perl that runs on the web since Perl is widely used for CGI.

What I would like to see is a forum for game programming... or I could just go to gamedev.com and get help from there. I think I will do that.

PS: is it .net or .org?

I second Gold Dragon's idea of a Game Dev forum in here. I'm making a perl game and I've made a game in PHP.
