After a nightmarish association with my previous host (Telaweb) I just had to move. I had a mistrust of web host providers after that. How many accounts would I have to create? How many times would I have my accounts deleted? How many months would I have to go before I heard anything from the support team to answer my questions. Then I found HostRocket on Hostsearch, and after reading many good stuffs about them, I decided to gamble. Fortunately (touch wood)Brandan and his team have been very supportive and in just over a month of service I've managed to accumulate 4000 hits. I'm now thinking what could have been had I found these guys a year ago. Keep up the good work guys.

Hi :)

Before signing up with HostRocket just before Christmas 2000, I searched around for about a month to pick a host. I read the forums here and at other hosts, reading posts I'd searched out of Yahoo and Altavista that talked about each host that I was considering, too.

The sad thing is, quite a few other hosts do *not* offer a forum like this. Most didn't offer any forum at all.

I like it here. :) Sure it has it's problems sometimes, but that's okay. Things sometimes can't be helped before they happen.. the important thing is.. the staff of HR do fix them once they happen.

It sure beats all those free hosting servers I was on before coming here. It's still hard to get used to having so much control over my site. Not having to rely on some outside server for this or that.

I sound like a commercial blah. hahaha

I agree 100%, I was on many other host, I probobly have either been on all of them or have an account. My first one was Geocities, I mad a very successfull site there but I had sponsor ads on ir and geocities didn't like that, but the reason I got kicked off was because a lot of the writers for the page came from one of my compeitions site do join my site, so my competition wrote to geocies and filed a complaint for Copyright Infringement, which never happened. I contacted them and they listened but then they said for having sponsor ads. My next host was Xoom, when they started out, after being with geocities for a year I knew what to expect, but i was wrong, they were nicer, then they became too big, way too fast and they had to put in policy's. After Xoom, I went to Bizland and was with them for a year then they started this paying for the host and I said no thanks. After staying with my host for 2-3 months I noticed my sites started to get big. So I contacted Hostrocket. I met Brendan, who was very nice about it. I as a 17 year old, and never bought anything over the internet before, though I owned a website I never trusted anyone over the net. I talked to Brendan about it and he let me off for a few days with the free domain name and hosting, which he was a small host, just starting out. We talked for about 2-3 hours and found out a lot of info. So after that I decided I will buy my hosting package from HostRocket. The cost was 200 dollars Canadian, which is a lot of money for someone in school with no job, and doesn't trust anyone on the net. So I sent it off and I have been pretty much ;) happy with my host the whole time, sure theres been a lot of mix ups and stuff, but thats my story.
