Computer Crash

Can anyone tell me why my computer suddenly switches off with the message Input Signal Out of Range then counts down from 20 and closes the computer.

It may be a graphics card issue. The input signal out of range is more than likely an error the monitor is generating, I don't know why though. Try lowering the refresh rate.

I definately sound like a graphics card issue to me. Although I don't know why It wouldn't do this as soon as you tried to start your pc. Do you use a program like windows blinds that plays with the system look?

Also sounds a bit like the blaster virus with the shutting down part, but fortunately I don't think it gives the same message.
