I am very new at cpp. I recently downloaded the source coude for the Zmatrix desktop screen saver from sourceforge.

This app runs the matris screensaver on your desktop without interfering with the icons and short cuts.

how can I create a transparent desktop clock that will run over my entire desktop without interfering with my icons & short cuts?

Were do I begin?:o

I think when you say "screensaver" you actually mean the "desktop" background/image?

Creating a transparent clock, on a windows machine, you could take advantage of the "active desktop" feature. That is how I would attack it That is just a suggestion, I am not sure other wise.
