I am really pissed. Someone actually hacked my MSN account, therefore allowing them access to all of my contacts/personal information. man..i will never ever give that much information again with a messenging tool, what was i thinking....**** having your **** stolen really sucks ass. I have to get a hold of all my contacts and explain what happened, some of them where very upset with what "I" was apparently talking about. I have clients/bosses/partners in that list MAN!!!!!!!!!!!.

I will keep you informed of what microsoft wil do about it. I am in contact with them and hopefully something will be done.

I don't know much about msn account being hacked but when your Yahoo account is hacked and if you can proove that it's yours you get it back.
Just try to give some information to msn and get it.

I finally got it back...but it was damn near impossible...

Yeah I had to give them some info.....BUT, these/this person already modified the profile. So the info I gave them was of course, wrong. I finally *****ed land threatined to take to the next level, what ever the next level was, I was willing to go take it public of, not only how easy it was for someone to "hack" my account, but then how hard it was to get them to reset my account. This could have caused serious damege to me, if I had my credit card info on there, you know how the "passport" works. I have it "intregated" with my ebay account. Passport is a good idea, but very insecure to say the least. Because once in, they have access to ALL your passport sites!!!!!!

You just listed the exact reason I don't use passports :)

In my eyes it is no different than using the same password for every computer account you have. It is just silly. I wonder if there will every be a truly secure form of digital communication? Or is it getting to be like the "abstinence is the only true way to protect against STDs argument?"

I agree 100% The only way to have TRUE secure is to have either a "digital" key , it is a physical key, either a "real" key with codes in it, blood droppings, or a retina scan, which communicats from the client to the server. for autentication, this "IDEA" of passwords is for the birds...I mean come on. It is getting to the point where mission critical accounts are on the "net", business/people rely on the net every day to survive (I mean money, not "net addicts") so abstinence is not an option.

One wouldn't go to ones house and yell out "mycatburnsants" and watch to see your door open for you. No that is unreliable, so why is it that Bank's, and virtualy all major dealings, deal with a "password"...makes no sense to me. Something needs to be done about it.

And having first hand expeience with "data" theft,I have a new projcet at hand....I call it project "BLOOD CLOT" [plot]
