Is there any way to use IMAP e-mail on my site?
--If so, how?
--If not, is it possible to install it myself?
-- If so, how?
-- If not, could this feature be added?

I also had this problem. Apparently, IMAP is NOT installed on HR servers. I think they have one server where they managed to install IMAP, but they did not move me to that server eventhough I requested so. Overall -- it's a bummer.
