Help-I can't figure out my situation.

Contained on my site (www.hothousegraphix.com) is
a page called galleries (options tab- galleries from main menu) which has a link that I programmed a password authorization action to (task completed in ADOBE GOLIVE 5). The action seems not to take place with the site stored the HR servers. It works flawlessly with the site
stored locally (on my computer).

I have no idea where to begin looking.

Someone HELP???????????

Also so, other than reducing the file size of images contained on my site-would anyone have a suggestion as to how to increase the download rate of my pages?

They do some nice work with compression. You can download an eval copy to test.

Your galleries file let me in OK so I'm not sure what your promlem is but......
Wouldn't it be easier to put the galleries file in a different folder and password protect that which is very easy to do through the control panel or write your own .htaccess
