Suggestion for new forum category

I would like to see a forum category added for Alabanza CP users. It seems most of the topics have become VDI related, and I assume since you are keeping Alabanzic web sites around at users' choice, then there must be enough to make this a worthwhile cause.

I would appereciate it if Support would add this thread. BTW: Are there many of us choosing to remain on the old servers?

Hi,

There are many more on the old servers than the new, but we are trying to not keep it that way. One of the main reasons we are moving off of those servers is because the systems as a whole cost about 3x as much to keep, and are not any more advanced featurewise. In an ideal situation, everyone will be off of the alabanza boxes at some point.

How do you plan to move us?? I tired to move myself and noticed a feature I need that was gone (don't remember what now) and realized that I'll spend about a month moving my site as the pages are so big.

If I got my files moved, then I would have the problem of changing everyp orgram to meet the new paths for pub HTML folders and whatever else. (Thank goodness I havea custom sendmail application installed or all those would have to be changed too.)

I'm wondering if you will offer some sort of utility to move sites or how 'movage' will occur for those of us with extra large sites.

Hi,

We will either come up with a way to automate the move for you, or offer the option to keep the old cp for maybe an extra dollar a month. We realize this is a pain for some people (sounds like it would be for you) but from a business point of view we need to do something because alabanza decided to double their prices.

Yes I did notice they doubled their prices as soon as everyone contracts expire, they go way up. Sounds like they're losing a lot of customers over this however.If you can create a move 'automator' I will gladly move to the new CP, (Whcih I like a lot more).
