View Full Version : What do you do when you are bored at work???

I was just wondering what other people do while they are bored at work and don't really have any work to get done (that is besides coming here and posting).

I ask this because all the things I normally do are also getting to be boring. I need new filler material.

I always forget about the onion...

There isn't much fun stuff to do here - I think they did that on purpose. The only things that are remotely fun are playing with the compressed gasses that I am not supose to have in my cubicle and walking around on the catwalks above manufacturing and warehousing. (I work for gillette btw).

EDIT: I fergot to mention penny-arcade and life of riley (www.clanbob.net). Thats the stuff that gets me trhought the workweek

Unfortunatly, I don't have speakers on my pc and I didn't bring my iPod with me today so I don't have headphones either. It has potential though - that is undeniable

I play games with the other tech, read CF and other boards, Slashdot, mess around with some languages, crosswords, chat with a friend (yay for PuTTY!)

I read forums and ssh into my computers at home to work on programs. I also spend a decent amount of the day bsing with the guy that sits next to me.

When I have stuff to do, I actually work. I'm going to school right now and only go to work for 4 hours a week, so there's not much to do.

Ditto, except it'd be BS'ing with the lady that sits next to me (who happens to be one of the project managers I work under).

I'm an automotive technician and entrepreneur - My dad and I run our own shop.

When i'm at work, thats what i'm there for. Work.

I'd assume he's referring to the website for Maxim Magazine. It's a magazine for guys. kinda like a PG-13 version of Playboy. http://www.maximonline.com/
