i was on HDC when Vince pointed to some of your Sourceforge projects. i noticed you had a open relay checker Python project. since it's GPL i thought i'd let you know i have a working one here--we use it at the large evil ISP i work for.

it's GPL so you're more then welcome to use some all or none of it. :D
it's based roughly on this:

anyways, good luck mon! ;)

thanks buddy!
i'd actually put that project on the back burner for awhile (since my ISP won't let me telnet anywhere on any port), but i'm hoping to pick it back up here sometime soon.
thanks again for the links :)

Your ISP magically detects if the application trying to connect over TCP/IP is called "Telnet?" Sounds weird to me. Are you sure the client is well configured?

file13: Nice script! fyi (and correct me if I'm wrong) you have a minor typo in your catchall exception. It says "Error sendind!" maybe that's like Dutch or something. :)
