A question about Linux and a network.

I would like to know how could I creat a network(2 computers) with Linux Mandrake 8.2, to be able to join the "win PC" under Linux, and to be able to join the "linux PC" under Win98, etc...

Do you mean be able to share files between the two, so that linux shows up in network neighborhood? If so, look into Samba.

If that's not what you mean, please clarify ;)

Yes, thats what I want, be able to access to the files, on each computer, be able to share them, and maybe share an internet connection in the future :) ...
I'll try to see for Samba...
Do you know any web site where I could find any tutorials, or stuff like that about Samba(in french if possible...)??? :)

If your want samba resources you could go to www.linuxnewbie.org .. they got a tutorial on how to set up samba. It`s a little outdatet I think, but it should work. Also .. you can ask questions in that forum or on www.linuxlaboratory.org
Samba is perfect in handling filesharing between win and linux. I`ve used it for as long as I`ve has linux. It`s actually quite easy to set up.
