I'm taking the dive into writing a distributed app (a jukebox control program, so I can make my jukecomputer in the kitchen work from my workstation in my room; yes, I'm lazy), and I'd like to do it properly right from the get-go, in case I want to use some of the code in the future in an application more important than allowing me to play Sister Hazel throughout the house without going downstairs. Where can I get some quality gouge on networking and security? Thanks!
