Flash is a web technology, it's platform independent.

It most definately doesn't mean the site is oriented towards windows, however this forum (alt. os) is mainly for linux discussions etc.

Basically the forum is OS independant, if people end up talking about mac os 10, not much i can do eh?

Ah, ok. I just got the impression that you wanted to herd linux et al off into this forum because everything else is windows-only.

You can view flash animations etc on linux, but not develop any.
So it isn't "platform independent" at all.

Actually, it is - the SWF format is a cross-platform standard (which is why you can view it in Linux and Windows, and it will look the same) for which Macromedia distributes different C++ libs to develop SWF (flash) animations.
