I would check out those sites, along with investing in a complete reference of the HTML language. I use(d) to use "Using HTML 4 Fifth Edition"
You can use the online resources for reference, but it is just faster for me to check in a book. But start by reading the tutorials on those sites, doing them, then if you want to get more in depth or just need a good reference book, try the one above.
Hope that helps,

I use this site a lot: http://www.home.zonnet.nl/robschluter/htmltaglist/
Actually, I've d-loaded the entire site (it's available as 2 zip files) to my local box.
It has every HTML tag, every attribute of every tag, examples of every tag, and what versions of Netscape, IE, W3C and WebTV are supported for every attribute of every tag.
Whenever I need to write html I keep this up on my desktop all the time.
What? no Sizzling Jalfrezi (http://freespace.virgin.net/sizzling.jalfrezi/)? That page has answered all my HTML questions.

I've had great luck teaching myself HTML from Thomas A. Powell's book, The Complete Reference: HTML 3rd Edition. It covers ordinary HTML, CSS, Javascript, DHTML, use of plug-ins, ActiveX, Java, site delivery and management, and a little on XML. It's got complete tag listings, HTML and CSS -- including proprietary ones -- a color reference (although for color reference, I absolutely love www.visibone.com/colorlab, which Powell makes reference to), etc., etc.
Of course, the best way to learn HTML is to look at other folks' source.

I think w3schools.com is one of the best place to start learning html. The site is clean, and they walk you through things step by step. :)

I'm working on a small HTML Help Guide for people interested in learning the language. It's no where near done, but in my opinion, it's a good start :)

I started off with Que's book on HTML 4.0 and I used SiteAid as a basic reference guy to ensure that the coding I wrote did what I wanted it to. That is why I think Frontpage is a great tool. Avoid the WYSIWYG part, just write the code and then check to see if things appear properly. After awhile you won't even need to check, but it is a nice crutch if you ever require it. I feel that you definately need to have a book with the info. Chances are, a couple books will be what you need. Check your local library and get a few. You may want one with all technical stuff and all the tags listed and another that is easier to follow. Use them in conjunction and you'll be fine!
