I have been playing this for a couple of weeks, and am kind of disappointed. I'm not so disappointed in what it offers, but in the fact that the simulator doesn't seem to have advanced much in the last five years. While it now takes four cds to load , and there are a lot more airports, the basic experience is exactly what I remember from the earlier versions from the 1990s. The cockpits look the same, the controls are the same - even the scenery is the same. What gives, Microsoft, is it that difficult to improve the quality?

Do you have all the gear and controlers for the flight simulator?

If so, how much does it cost to buy it all?

Yeah, I tried like the 2002 version from a friend's copy and wasn't all that impressed either. They've been working on the size of the world and stuff rather than graphics too. :(

I watched someone play it one time and it seemed pretty boring. Whats the point? Pilots don't exist anymore anyways... haven't you all seen Airplane? ;)

I have a joystick and some odds and ends to use with it. You can do a decent set-up, including the software and add-ons, for well under $100.

I like it in theory and it is fun to play around with, but it could be so much better if they just worked on it.

I have the same kind of feeling with most of their other software packages! lol!

I played it with a joystick, but I still didn't find it that fun. I think most of those kinda games are for simulation enthusiast rather than the normal gamer.
