I'm an audio freak myself, so I've invested a fair amount in a good speaker setup for my computer.
I'm currently running a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=29-102-178&depa=0) with a cable sending a digital audio signal (so that I can run Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround when watching movies) to my Logitech Z-680 speakers (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2177,CONTENTID=5048) (ignore the price there - they only retail for about $250). Great system and it packs quite a punch - 505W RMS, 1000W peak.
Now that I've switched to surround sound, I'll never go back. I love it to DEATH! :D
Anyway, what kinda setup do you guys have or do you not care and just have $5 cheapo speakers?
