I just got this game last night. Anyone like it? I only played the training so far to get used to the controls. So far I'm pretty impressed with the graphics over the older versions.

Yeah, I got like a year back or whatever. Pretty good game. I like that it's true 3D finally - you can spin the camera and everything.

It's still one of the best strategy games out there, even after having been out for a year or two.

So far I'm really diggn the changes over the previous ones. I'm just starting the Chinese campaigns and getting use to some of their units. MiG strikes are awesome! Especially with the total 3D control.

For which faction? China?

Now that I've played it for a few days I can honestly say that I'm pretty dissapointed. Although there are some really cool features in the game it just isn't as much fun as the older ones. Some of the missions for GLA are just plain stupid. Theres a few missions that aren't fun at all because the waves of enemies that just keep on coming down... I mean cmon!

Yeah. They're even better when you add on the optional weapons.

It's a fun game, but yeah, not the best C&C title.

It isn't the best one...and it definitely isn't worth playing Single Player. It's loads of fun playing with friends in multiplayer though.

I dunno, single player was decent.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War is better though, but it ran like CRAP on my computer. No idea why though as I have a kick ass computer. :/

Warhammer...
Anyone here plays it with the painting of the characters?
And the real game...?
LOL...:p

Seeing as I have a cracked version (can I say that?) I can't play on the Internet. The skirmishes are fun though, especially when I team up with the computer and combine factions. I'm going to install Zero Hour and see if that spices up the game.

Got a cracked one too...
Almost all my games are cracked, unless they are REALLY good and get addicted to it I buy em...

Careful guys with the warez talk. ;)
Anyway, supposedly Zero Hero does help quite a bit, but that's on the word of my sister, so who knows.
And for the record, I buy all of the games I like and play a lot. :)

If you look around, you can get games cheap, and not have to bother with warez. I picked up Ghost Recon 2 right before Christmas for $20. You just have to keep your eyes open. And it's always a lot less hassle if you have a legal copy.

Yeah I know. I won't say where or anything and I don't condone it by anymeans. I also won't try and justify it. If I end up really enjoying the game (which I don't) then I'll buy it. Before getting it I DID look for a demo first which I couldn't find. So there.

I suppose. I'm really not much of a gamer anymore. Once in awhile I get the itch for a new one but I'm usually dissapointed and end up loading an older game I own.

I think we can all agree that the official position of this thread, this forum, this website, and this Internet is that everyone should own legal copies of all the software they own. :)

Turns out that the only way we can get that illegal ones is through the internet...
Um I thought HR was for hosting? :p:D

Don't get me started on EA. They rush their games and work their employees to death.

Yeah that is bad news to my ears. I liked what Westwood was doing with the series. EA made it pretty and true 3d, but they lost the quality of the game.

Yeah man I liked Westwood SO much, they were my favorite game company that days :(

Yeah you're right... they should look at Rockstar, they take their time and make great games.

Never heard of those games. I saw them on the list I think, but since I didn't know them, I didn't list them. ;)

Smuggler's Run was a quasi-racing game if I remember correctly that looked kinda fun.

Yeah it was my very first PS2 game... but when I look at it now, its crap :D
Anyways, how come you don't know Manhunt? There was a kid in UK that killed a person just like in the game, and now you can't buy it anymore in UK...

Is it an old game?
And with the UK thing, that wasn't a government thing was it? I'd think sellers would just stop selling it compared to the gov getting involved, else I call major BS.
