FF1 - never beat it...character building got annoying
FF2 - got a poor translation, never beat it
FF3 - very cool for the NES. I liked how you got an airship right away!
FF4 - I played the FF2 version, i found it really cheesy...nothing spectacular
FF5 - Very cool class system, a very fun one to play, mediocre story
FF6 - Great story, good graphics for SNES, lots of fun stuff, lots of unique characters!
FF7 - Overhyped IMO, good game, but overly popular. Neat minigames, good story. Materia was cool.
FF8 - Card game is addictive...FMV were very well done...
FF9 - best overall game...wasn't the best in any category, but great in everything.
FF10 - never played, but the FMV...WOW....
FF11 - addicting, very time consuming, but loved it
FFMQ - dumb
FFL - spends hours on a GB playing this one...never beat it, but i really liked it. Monster meat was cool.
FFL2 - didn't spend much time playing
FFL3 - cool game for the gb, nothing compared to snes/psx games though
FFT - ...i was expecting more. have yet to beat.

Favourite? FF9...closely followed by FF6

Which is your favorite one? Also, post what you dont like about the game... we all already know why we love it.

I actually thought the movie was pretty good. Kind of strange, but entertaining. I haven't played Final Fantasy itself in a while, though.

The only one that really got into was 10. Good game although I never spent enough time to beat it. I really liked 6. It really pushed the SNES I think.

I've never actually played any of the FF titles. Watched my friends play it some and it just didn't look that fun to me.

i remember spending all my money on FF7 and it was the first RPG played. Very fun, need to finish 10 if i can find a ps2.

Favorite: 10, closely followed by 12. I love the battle system in those games. As far as story goes, my favorite is 7.

Hopefully some are released for the Virtual Console after the DS and GBA releases get old!

I still have 6 for the SNES. That is definitely great for its time given the level of graphics available. X was one of the top if not the top.

XII, which isn't on your list is pretty good. I think the idea of the hunts is what made XII pretty interesting because the game itself had a decent storyline but it moved very quickly.

I never got into the FF games. Actually, I never bothered to play it. I'm more into the strategy type games, starcraft, BFME...

I never minded RPG style games. Final Fantasy is one of the best series. But you should also put Link in this category along with some other notable RPGs like the Secret of Mana/Secret of Evermore and Dragon Warrior. Then there were the oddballs that were always fun like Earthbound, although I was disappointed the second release never came to the US.

Strategy games were fun too, but there were never as many and I grew up on the Nintendo and Super Nintendo before the computer games came around so I was always more partial to the consoles over the computer games. Partly because you never had to upgrade the consoles and there were no patches for games.

But on the topic of strategy I did like StarCraft and Warcraft series although I am still disappointed there has not been a StarCraft 2. But in my opinion the C&C games are still some of the best around.

Secret of Mana

Best game ever... And the fact that 4 of your friends could play at the same time before MMOs where around made it even better
