Okay, so last week my account was suddenly suspended. I was told that it was because my website was using too many server processes on the shared server and it was suggested that I upgrade to a semi-dedicated server.

For those that don't know what 'server processes' means (like I didn't) here is HR's definition:

"When you load a site, the web server needs to process it, so it opens a web server process. If your site is not designed efficiently, it may open up a lot of web server processes and not close out processes when it should. This ends up using a lot of server processing and memory and slowing the server down for other customers."

Basically my site was using too many of these processes suddenly. Considering I haven't made any big changes to the website in months and the number of visitors to my site has not increased either, I'm at a loss to figure out how there could suddenly NOW be a problem when it never has been before. The only thing I added recently was a PHPbb board provided with the hosting.

They agreed to unsuspend me if I worked at reducing the server load because of whatever is causing the problem. Anyway, upon asking HR for any suggestions on how I could get the webserver processes under control they told me that "the support staff at HostRocket does notprovide programming or in-depth content support."

You can see what I have to work with here (http://216.120.231.250/~upn11tv/). I have taken my domain name off my HR account for the time being to eliminate the chance of getting any visitors or hits on the site while I work this out. My website is something I do for my own personal enjoyment and I can't afford going from $10 a month to nerly $100 (CAD) for semi-dedicated hosting.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to do this? I'm at a loss. :(
