Everyone, there is a mod for half-life(or steam) that is REALLY good, Its one of my favorites. Its called the specialist. here is a Link (http://www.specialistsmod.net/) to their site. If you wish to download it i will probly hosted it on my site in the near future...or you can just use one of those mirrors. Tell me if you like it!,
PLEASE NOTE!
To install this mod on steam, First, you must Run half-life Under your "my games" menu in steam, This way it creates a folder, By running i mean starting the game, and then getting to menu and exiting. Then, install the specialist into "c:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/your_email_address/Half-Life" Obviously if you have it install differently change it, and change your_email_address to your login name.
(When you install it, it will show up under "third Part Games")

It is a "mod" for Half-life, Which what other people would call "custom Game" People pretty much just use the engine fromt he other game, and give it a whole new look, physics, control, EVERYTHING!

Well for one you don't have to wait for a major patch release to patch the game. They can make minor adjustments now. Also they have the steam friends, which you can use to follow friends into a game (or to find them) without needing to tell everyone what IP server you're going to. There's some other cool stuff too.

Yeah I downloaded it. It's pretty interesting. I haven't played too much with it yet but if you promise to be nice I'd play! I have a server here and a decent connection... I could probably set it up if it wan't too difficult.

Hm, I might take you up on that, Its a really fun game, if you learn all the tricks and suck, Let me give you a tip, Look throught the control settings carefully, (Fine, i'll just tell you, Set, Third Person to a key, Good for Looking around corners, and Kung Fu), Also use slow motion to your ADVANTAGE!, Also, learn which guns you like, remeber tho, Fewer guns you have, faster you move, and fewer guns, you can do Back/Forward Flips, and Cool tricks. Also Set a "stunt" key, which for me is q)
My COntrol settings:
Scroll Ball back: Jump(Double jump is flip)
q=stunt
x=thirdperson/back to first
z=power-up,(slow motion/double fire rate/and stuff)
you can pick the rest:)
Also Another tip, to do a back flip, you need to be Looking, and to do a normal flip you need to be looking Normal!
Good Luck, AND PRACTICE...lol
