Hi everyone.

I'm extremely new with using hostrocket's control panel to manage my web site.
In the past I have always used free sites like angelfire.com to manage and edit html in their advanced sections.

Well now I have my domain name spinedrive.com registered with register4less.com, and my hosting with hostrocket.com

The thing is I don't know where to start. I've input the DNS information @ register4less.com to let them know I'm with hostrocket.

But now when I click on the test link url given to me by hostrocket.com I find no page.

Where can I go to, say, type some words, save it in html. Goto my domain spinedrive.com and see that it works?

I know this may sound ridiculous, but I don't know where to start using the control panel for updating my site.

Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks.

You index or home page should go in the public_html folder. In the control panel click on 'File manager' , then click the public_html folder and upload an index page. either index.php, index.html , index.htm . Or in the FTP manager setup an ftp account(use a info other than your Cpanel login and password) and upload the files needed into the folder.

You also might want to let HostRocket know what your domain is. Because doing a simple whois shows your domain is not pointing at HostRockets DNS servers. So unless you are going to use an outside DNS provider you need to make sure your registrar(register4less) puts the correct DNS servers in there(dns1.hrnoc.net and dns2.hrnoc.net)
After that is solved you need to let HR know so they can add the DNS records to point at your server.
Above mentioned Whois -

Edit : Jusr after I posted the DNS servers moved to the proper ones :) , so now just let HR know so they can get it in there(takes 24-72 hours for it to work though)
