Hi There,

I have been pulling my hair out in regards to awstats and its installation.

I installed it fine, and it all loads. THe problem is when i click on 'update now' I get this:

Error: Couldn't open server log file "/usr/local/apache/domlogs/domain.com" : Permission denied

Setup ('/home/username/public_html/awstats/awstats.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
See AWStats documentation in 'docs' directory for informations on how to setup awstats.

It doesn't matter whether its installed in the cgi-bin or not, it just won't work :(

I've also tried to get it to update via cron - to no joy :(

HR support have said the problem is not at their end, as they can access the files fine - anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Jee

You need to change "domain.com" to your domain. For example:

/usr/local/apache/domlogs/viper007bond.com

I seem to remeber having that problem at one time as well. Have you checked your error logs?
