Hi, I just installed the Hostrocket PHP Forum and was wondering if someone could give me an idea of what kind of traffic and bandwidth it will use. My current forum is on EZ Board and we are leaving that because of many random page errors, but I notice in my stats that I am averaging about 50,000 to 80,000 page views per month. In doing the math by their standards, it uses approximately 1.2 GB of traffic to do that many page views. Would that figure the same for this board?

I need to figure this out because my website boasts around one GB per day of bandwidth now without hosting my own forum.

One other question, is it possible to change your own login name for the forum? I see that by default it uses the same login as the HR Control Panel, but can you change it for the PHP Forum?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

To answer your first question:

If you're getting that many hits per month, I wouldn't be concerned with bandwidth as much as Apache process and DB queries. If you start using too many resources, HR will ask you to move to a dedicated server. I'd direct you to support for a more specific response.
