Is it possible to write a program in VB that will automate every thing I do on the computer so I don't even have to use it ever again?

VB Macro's can be really advanced and complex.... But i don't think it's going to take over AIM for you correctly and stop u from ever having to touch your pc again.... now assembly.... thats another story :p

On a seriouser (is that a word?) note, I am looking into some VB macro functions, cause I have a lot of mundane tasks that are very repititous...and some of the software that I do have that have macros are not thourough enough for me.
Definately on my list of things to do

If your mundane task is with reason, then yes, VB Macro's would be fine. I use them for alot of repetitive Excel tasks, such as setting up my pay forms, as well as in visio for setting up our general UML schedule.
Now if it's some more technical, then you might want to create something which controlls the desktop, and many a c++/delphi/vb.6/.net examples can be found on the net.
