Alright, my domain name was up for renewal on the 26th, so I renewed it. Ever since, there have been problems with people not being able to view my web site. This was due to the nameservers being set back to the default of my domain's host. I switched these back to the HostRocket settings, and the site worked...

Later in the evening on the 28th, the domain name stopped working once again. I checked the nameservers and they were still connected to HostRocket. I figured it was just a temporary thing, so I gave up for the night.

Yesterday, I could not access my web site at all through the domain name. I assumed there was a problem, and contacted my domain host about the issue. Later in the day, I was informed that other people could view my web site through the domain name. However, I could not, nor could my sister who is on the same network as me.

What is the problem?

It most likely is just that you're closest dns caches haven't been updated..

hmm - basically (if you know how) you can set your dns servers to

4.2.2.1
4.2.2.2

and the problem will be fixed.. another thing you can do (without doing the above) is drop to dos
and type

ipconfig /flushdns

i tried the ipconfig /flushdns, but it didn't solve the problem. i'm not sure how to set the dns servers.

well - basically you go into the control panel..

under internet.. hm sec.. i'll walk you through it..
okay..

start: control panel: network connections, right click on the connection thats your internet... properties

then you'll see a list of weird stuff.. find TCP/IP.. select it.. click properties right below it (to the right)

you'll see two white boxes.. underneath the title "obtain dns automagically" and "use your own" basically..

in those 8 boxes.. write in this order (no dots, just the numbers)

4.2.2.1
4.2.2.3

then drop to dos again (start:run:type cmd in the box)

ipconfig /flushdns

good luck

erm, 6 gigabytes used already?
how many do you have total?

(and when did you sign up?)
I guess its the end of the month.. 6GB a month aint too much.. that is if you've already had it for a month. :)

Woulda expected it to use more (I have a forum that uses that much a month :p). My friend's car site (http://www.fast-autos.net/) uses a TON.
