Does anyone know anything about "ultra wideband"?

I'm curious what the range will be, how much data it will carry, and how expensive it will be...

this is all i could find: http://www.wired.com/news/wireless/0,1382,62061,00.html?tw=rss.TOP

I don't know.. anything thats airbourne/in waves/data scares the crap out of me..

I've been thinking about the effects..all that beating from the waves from years after years.. (radio, everything thats 'floating' around) it might just cause 'mental erosion'..

maybe thats whats going wrong.. its driving everyone without the tinfoil hats crazy.. and they're the only normal ones anymore

Well, you can't escape the "airborne" stuff in the modern age. Haven't been able to since the 1920s. If it were going to turn us all into three-headed freaks, I think it would have happened by now. ;)

I wouldn't worry about it, life on earth has always been bombarded by radiation of some kind, solar being the most obvious. And who wouldn't want a second head? You could try out new hairstyles on the little one first (I wish I could remember which comedian said that).

especially when you take into account the average lifespan these days is almost double what it was back when the airwaves were "pure"!

Well then obviously all of these waves are making us live longer!

Positive waves, man, send me some of those groovy positive waves!

Ok, nobody else has probably seen Kelly's Heroes. ;)

I remember reading/seeing something recently about cell phones, and tests done on rats.. They placed cell phones by rats brains, and used them for several hours, and watched their brains, and the rats had brain damage..

I think I saw this is one of monthly magazines, I think it was in popular science..

Radio waves are a weird thing.. I think give cell phones another 10 years, and wait till you see how many millions of people have brain tumors..

Well who cares? It's not like I have a rats brain, duh. I have a HUMAN brain. And it has a forceshield.

Yeah, but cellphones are slightly out of phase and therefore can go through your sheilds.

Kids who are retards and whatnot usually ride the short school bus to school. Many of those kids wear helmets so if they fall, etc. they don't damage their cranium. Those are short bus helmets.

Dude, you're not supposed to say "retards" cause it's not PC.
