I posted not too long ago about SQLYog and the fact that I couldn't get it to maintain a connection to my HR DB. Since WebYog never responded to my email I went looking for something else.

Enter Mascon (http://scibit.com/products/mascon/). So far it looks pretty cool, anyone else have any experience with it?

Umm, what's wrong with phpMyAdmin?

By comparison, a number of things. It's slower, doesn't allow you to view complete resultsets, textarea behavior can be annoying, etc...

Basically, it would be fine if it wasn't web-based.

Ah, I thought you were talking about another web based admin tool. Gotcha now. :)

If you want another mySQL admin tool to be available on HR why not post this thread on the Suggestion forum?

Because I don't want a web-based tool. It might not be a bad idea to have an officially supported "partner" desktop app or something, but phpMyAdmin works well enough that I don't see it happening.
