One of the best I've seen besides 2advanced. I think they are the most creative and advanced in techniques. Their previous designs were also just too good.
Check'em out in the 'work' -> 'past' menus

I know, they're simple and smooth. It's all you need to make games addictive.
Very nice graphics too. I'm surprised it's not slow at all on my comp.

How long does it typically take to make a Flash site compared to an HTML one?

I think it varies a lot but generally longer. Lots of animation and depending on how much fx and stuff you put in it can take many many times longer.
And depends relatively on how complex the html site is too.
I'm sure the crazy sites (like 2advanced) takes ages. Theres plenty of coding and scripts incorporated in flash too (even though its a bit easier I think).

Has anyone seen Ninjai (http://www.ninjai.com/) before? It seems to be a pretty popular site with its episodes (so far 10) done in flash. The graphics execpt for the background doesn't seem to be top notch but it seems they put put a lot of effort in making them (action sequences, plot etc).
http://www.ninjai.com/
They seem to be pretty hardcore with their martial arts.
One of the members also seems to Uma Thurman stunt double, lately seen in Kill Bill.

That's a cool site, ninjai.com, thanks for pointing it out! Ten chapters, cool.
metawu
01-25-2004, 09:55 PM
Yes, but chapter 11 and the rest are taking sooooo long.
Everybody has been waiting for them for months.
Tammy
01-25-2004, 11:19 PM
It will take me a while to get through the ten chapters that are up. A few years ago they were trying to do some of these serial things online using live actors, I haven't heard anything about that sort of thing recently, though. Must cost too much to produce.
vanselus
01-26-2004, 11:58 AM
Kinda cheesy, but I still dig the Little Ninja. There was another flash story thing that I followed for a little bit, but it just got too involved. Sometimes it's tougher to find time to watch a 20 minute movie.
I still miss Munchyman and Fatty though.

Holy crap that www.billybussey.com page is what I always dreamed of doing. Totally puts gfx design out of the 2D into 3D.
And most of it is smooth on my slow ass comp too, where on 2advanced most of the animation is slow and chunky.
