I guys, basically I am making a flash header, i have made some kick ass backgrounds in Paint Shop Pro 8, and I try importing them into flash to use, and for some reason they get crazy distorted.

I have tried .bmp and they didn’t work well at all, jpeg, and gifs seem worthless.

PNG seems like the best, but still, they don't look the same as if i view them from the web or paint shop pro

I know this is because Flash is a vector program while paint shop pro generally deals with raster layers. But does anyone know how to make backgrounds look super b in flash?

Thanks <3 big al

After you import them in flash break them (ctrl+b i think) and then group (ctrl+g ?). That way I think the image won't distort while it's playing.

Check the properties of the images in the library (flash). Make sure they are exported lossless/ png. PNG's will give the best quality but will be large files. If they are too large export as jpg and play with the jpg export settings in flash when publishing movie.
